Moved my blog!!!!

Hi everyone!

Like I already mentioned last week I was busy putting together a new blog since this blog host is playing way to many tricks on me lately.

Even though the new blog isn't completely finished I wanted to let you know that I won't be posting here any more but I will already start using my new one.

YOU CAN NOW FIND MY NEW BLOG HERE: VINTAGETEAROOMS.TYPEPAD.COM

or you can also use www.vintagetearooms.com

So please change this in your (google-) reader, your favorites and or link on your blog.

To make sure you will all find your way to my new blog I will be doing a little give-away over there now! So make sure to hop on over to my new blog and leave a comment there on the give-away post!

Thanks!

The opening of the show

Even though I’ve already shared most of my trip to CHA I still wanted to share with you this little video I made during the opening of the show. Tradition is that the show is opened with by a Scottish band of bags and pipers…

this always gives me the goose bumps!

And here is an other video it’s about a new product from K & Company that I have seen at CHA…..and i need it BADLY!

doesn’t it look awesome?! To bad we all have to wait till April for it to be available in the stores.

Well that was it for today…..of to do some more learning.

Thanks for stopping by, really appreciate all you, my blog followers!

More about CHA

I must admit did I didn't took that many pictures this year. Most part of the days I was very busy teaching make & takes with the new Cosmo Cricket product – Glubers. I loved teaching those make & takes just as the Glubers, they are AWESOME!

So during the time I had to walk the floor I mostly forget to even bring my camera since I just wanted to see as much as possible, seeing all the friends I already knew and meeting new once!

I do have some more picture to share with you of the Cosmo Cricket booth and some taken of me by others :)

Starting the day with catching a little sunshine. Sitting in front of the Convention Centre together with Trisha Green Ladouceur, Nathalie Kalbach and Birgit Koopsen – girls you are the best!

all these flowers are made with the glubers

My vintage wreath made with lots of vintage bits and Circa 1934 was also shown at CHA. Thanks everyone for your sweet comments on this wreath, really means a lot to me!!

IMG_2233

On this mini album i used flowers made with Glubers but I also used them on this inside with glitter. I was so surprised and happy that this let to a post on the Memory Makers Magazine forum :) Thanks again Lora!

I was so happy that I saw Netanella from Israel during the show! She made this picture of me while I was teaching the make & takes together with Maren Bendict.

During the show I also met my nose-twin, Kirsty Wiseman. Nathalie took this fun picture of the two of us

While teaching the make & takes I also met Patricia Folchert. She invited me to come over to the Jillibean soup booth. Of course I made sure to stop by and these girls are just the best! They were so nice to load me up with the newest releases for me to play with!

CHA Trip 1-11 208

There were so many more people I met or saw again and I feel sorry that I don't have any pictures taken with them! There are just to many to name here but I would like to thank everyone for the fun talks and being so sweet!

To all good things come an end

IMG_2242

here we are tearing down the booth….

In the afternoon Birgit and I decided to take a cap to "the Grove" a big mall in LA. We had some fun there shopping

IMG_2243

IMG_2245

We had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. My roommate Vicki Boutin (miss you chika!) told me that this is something you need to experience while visiting the US. She was so right,it was quite the experience! Here you see Birgit with a SMALL sized diet coke

IMG_2248

We were lucky to see same plates with a main course on the table next to us…they were HUGE! Since we both wanted to try at least a cheesecake we decided on both having a started and after that to have a cheesecake.

Here is what we had

IMG_2251

Do I need to tell you the were AMAZINGLY YUMMIE! But we didn't even got to finish them…we were stuffed!

The next morning after breakfast I had to say goodbye to these three wonderful people.

IMG_2254

Julie and Eric Comstock and Lindsay Moore the owners of Cosmo Cricket and I dare to say, without any doubt the most wonderful people in the industry, love them!

Before leaving to the airport Birgit, Nathalie and I did some walking in the neighborhood, some last minute shopping and getting used to the idea of flying back home in just a little.

IMG_2262

IMG_2267

Yes that realy is a bike on the front of the bus….we don't see that here :)

And here is a picture of the hotel we had been staying…the Westin Bonaventure….1500 rooms!! I had my room at the 19th floor and that was high enough for me ;)

IMG_2278

My head is now almost exploding with ideas and I can't wait to start working with all the new product I took back home with me….but first I have to learn for an exam I have to do next Friday…please wish me luck, I think I need it.

Thanks for stopping by,

Back home

CHA just flew by! Unbelievable that I am already back home, sitting behind my laptop, writing this post.

On the flight back I turned 33, kinda weird celebrating in an airplane lol.

I've already showed you some pictures of the first two days of my trip. Here are some more fun pictures of our visit to Santa Monica pier :)

All packed and ready to go…

So my suitcase is all packed. Included my CHA projects and clothes for sunny weather! I must say I am getting very excited now, except for one thing and that's the fact that my alarm clock is set for 4.45 AM. At the airport I will meet up with Birgit, great to have her as my travel companion!

I will make sure to post some updates while I am at Los Angeles :)

Leaving you with the cover of this mini album I made using UPcycle, new Cosmo Cricket. I will be sure to post the entire mini later!

Finally

Finally we got rid of all the snow and ice here. So, no more excuses for me not to run. Of course it was still cold but with the temperatures above zero Celsius one can get warm enough during running. So there I went and look, my running shows now have their first marks of actual use :)

Foto

First time I do not mind dirt on my new shoes :)

I found this very inspiring image on the internet which I used for last Saturdays post on the Cosmo Cricket blog which I also wanted to share with you here
